I have tested Filelu as a cloud storage service, mainly for transferring large video files (15–35 GB) using different tools such as web upload, Cyberduck, and rclone. Pros • Clean and simple web interface • Large files can sometimes upload successfully via browser • 15 GB uploads worked when using Chrome • With Chrome, it was also possible to upload more than 17 files into a single folder • Attractive storage plans and promotions • Customer support responds and tries to help • Additional storage was offered as compensation during issue handling Cons • Large file uploads are unreliable • In Chrome, 15 GB files appear to upload successfully, but 35 GB files get stuck and do not complete • With other browsers, uploads also got stuck and did not complete • Cyberduck did not work at all for uploads • rclone reported successful transfers, but files were not actually saved in the cloud • Web uploads sometimes freeze without clear error messages • No clear confirmation when an upload is truly completed • Critical bug: folders appear to have a limit of around 17 files (especially with non-Chrome browsers) • Uploading more than ~17 files into the same folder often failed in testing • Moving files into a folder that already contained ~17 files caused the moved files to disappear completely from the cloud • Missing files could not be recovered and were not found even in the trash Real-world experience Although the service advertises support for very large files, in practice only browser uploads had partial success. Chrome performed better than other browsers: it allowed 15 GB uploads and also handled more than 17 files per folder. However, even in Chrome, larger files (35 GB) failed. Other browsers consistently got stuck during uploads and showed more issues with folder limits. Automation and third-party tools (such as rclone or Cyberduck) were not reliable in testing. Additionally, a serious issue was encountered with folder limits and file handling. In many cases (especially outside Chrome), when a folder reached around 17 files, further uploads failed, and attempting to move files into such a folder resulted in permanent data loss, with no recovery possible through the trash. Summary Filelu can work for basic cloud storage and manual uploads through a browser (especially Chrome), but handling larger files (15–35 GB+) and using external tools was not reliable in my experience. It may be suitable for users who: • Upload via browser (preferably Chrome) • Split files into smaller parts • Do not rely on automation or sync tools However, due to the discovered folder limitation bug and the risk of data loss, it is not suitable for reliable storage of important files or backup workflows at this time.

FileLu has been a great fit for my needs. Setup was straightforward, uploads work well, and once a CORS issue was resolved the service has been stable and reliable. Good value and responsive support.

Great upload speed, fast support and a lot of tools/protocols to access.

8TB Bought for the wide range of protocols/methods of access, mainly the S3/S5 and family sharing. So far so good, happy with the service a few days into it. App and webui are not as fancy as other providers but just good enough, not tried desktop, just via mobile and restic. No complaints. UK buyer and had to pay tax on top of price shown during/after the process with SS.

Easy to use. App very simple. Good upload speed...

Works with Restic as S3 or rclone storage. Decent speeds. A few minor hiccups with connections, but generally works very well.
